Dr. Carolyn Powell joined the Swift Creek Animal Hospital team in 2015. She is originally from Midlothian and has enjoyed being back in the area to practice. After receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Biology at Duke University, Dr. Powell earned her Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She then completed a yearlong internship in small animal emergency and internal medicine in Chesapeake, VA. She has particular interests in internal medicine and preventative medicine.

Dr. Powell lives in Chesterfield with her husband, two daughters, and pit bull mix, Olive. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family.

Dr. Powell is available at Swift Creek Animal Hospital Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and Saturdays on a rotating basis.
